The IZ-PCO Smoke & VOC Eater is simply one-of-a-kind.  It's the largest and most powerful air purifier on the market featuring an 18" wide stainless steel fan that can filter 2900 CFM on high (without filters, 1200 / filters).   This is by far the highest CFM capability of any air purifier on the market.

Who needs the IZ-PCO Smoke & VOC Eater?  People interested in removing second hand smoke, VOC's, (chemicals from off-gassing carpets, new home syndrome, etc) pet odors, chemical odors, or making sure the air in their home is mold, virus, and bacteria free.  If you don't want to spend a fortune in replacement filters, this is also the air purifier for you!  No replacement filter costs whatsoever!   The fan blades and inside of the IZ-PCO is coated with our exclusive nano TiO2 self cleaning liquid from Japan that makes surfaces grime, odor, bacteria, and smoke resistant. When bacteria, smoke, mold, etc comes in contact with a surface coated with this TiO2 liquid, it breaks down. This unit utilizes proprietary PCO technology not found in any other air purifiers to do a superior job of removing smoke, odors, molds, etc.

Here are 3 main reasons why the IZ-PCO Smoke and VOC Eater is the best air purifier in the world:

#1) The ability to remove airborne dust particles which are constantly being kicked up.

If you have an expensive air purifier, take this test.  Point a flashlight towards your hand (2-3 inches away) near your expensive HEPA machine.  See how much visible dust you have floating around EVEN WITH your expensive air purifier running just 2-3 feet away.   Why?  Every time you sit on the couch or walk around, you're kicking up dust.  The dust removal ratings of air purifier are taken in closed room settings where dust will naturally settle in time anyway.  It takes a super powerful fan to remove dust that is being constantly being kicked-up.

#2) No High Replacement Filter Costs.

You will spend between $800 and $2000 over 5 years just on replacement filters for any HEPA machine (even the cheap plastic models).  The IZ-PCO Smoke and VOC Eater utilizes a washable anti-microbial filter with a lifetime warranty, a washable Nickel and Nano Titanium Foam coated PCO filter, and a carbon matt pre-filter (re-charge once a month, lasts a lifetime)   You'll save hundreds of dollars a year in replacement filter costs PLUS get more visible dust removing capabilities and of course the odor, smoke, and Virus-mold-bacteria protection.

#3) Ability to Remove Second Hand Smoke, Odors, VOC's, Viruses, Molds, and Bacteria.

What good is an air purifier if it can't remove the things from the air that make you sick?  You need a high CFM machine to move the air and draw smoke and VOC's in from 10-20 feet away or even throughout your home in time.  You need a machine that has next generation PCO technology to rid the air of these harmful substances.  Check around and you'll find other PCO air purifier selling for around $600 that feature small filters, low CFM capabilities, with some like the Air Oasis that don't even filter the air!  The IZ-PCO Smoke and VOC Eater does it all.  It removes the odors and filters the air.

TiO2 Nickel Coated Foam Filter

What is Photocatalytic Oxidation?

Photocatalytic Oxidation Technology. The IZ-PCO is the only air purifier on the market to feature a Nano TiO2 & Nickel Coated Foam PCO Filter.  Two UV lamps (UVA or UVC, you get both types of UV lamps) emit radiation that bounces around the inside of the stainless steel covered 22" x 22" oak cabinet.  The bottom filter exposed to the UV lamps and the air exhaust area are both covered with this special PCO filter material.  When any odor, smoke, virus, bacteria, VOC, etc comes in contact with this special surface in the presence of UV radiation, the substance is broken down or destroyed.  The net result is a high rate of odor and smoke abatement without the need of pounds of expensive carbon blends (carbon cannot destroy viruses, bacteria, and molds anyway). Independent studies have shown that any airborne contaminant that comes in contact with this special filter material becomes oxidized instantaneously.

Why does this new PCO technology work so effectively? . This new PCO technology utilizes nano sized TiO2 particles applied to a NICKEL coated foam filter along with UVA and or UVC lamps to activate the catalyst coated filter material.  Old PCO technology fills the air with oxidizers whereas this new PCO technology creates a "kill zone" on the nano sized TiO2 filter surface itself to purify the air every time it passes through the filter may times per hour.   (Oxidizers are still added to the air in the process by the way, so you get the best of both worlds)  When PCO oxidizers are created in this manner, the surface of the filter becomes the primary oxidizing agent. You have the option of utilizing a UVC lamp (no ozone producing) a UVA lamp (300 mg/h ozone producing), one of both.   If you want smoke or need heavy odor abatement, you will want to run your machine with the 2 UVA lamps all the time.  Running the unit with 1 UVA lamp will not produce ozone levels above EPA standards due to the fact most of the ozone is broken down before into hydroxyl radicals and superoxide ions before it leaves the unit by the special PCO mesh filter.  Even with 1 UVA lamp, the air leaving the machine smells fresh and clean but not beachy like ozone producing machines.

The IZ-PCO air purifier features a beautiful oak cabinet treated with linseed oil (non-voc producing finish).   The unit uses 2 UV lamps but we ship it with 4 total, 2 UVA (ozone producing) and 2 UVC (non-ozone producing).  If you are ozone sensitive and simply want to run the machine with UVC lamps, you will still need the two 600 mg/h ozone producing UVA lamps to "recharge" the carbon matt filter once a month.   The IZ-PCO air purifier comes with a no questions asked 30 day money back guarantee and a 5 year warranty.   If you have any questions or inquiries please give us a call toll free at 800-549-9535 or e-mail us for fast, friendly assistance.

HOW TO RECHARGE CARBON MATT FILTER:

The carbon matt filter "sticks" to the PCO filter on the top "Clean air out" grill.  Peel it off and set aside. The carbon matt filter is held down under the metal washable filter frame. Press down on filter and peel back carbon filter, set aside.

1) Lay the IZ-PCO unit on it's back and remove the filter under the unit.

2) Place the two carbon matt filters on the stainless steel surface.

(make sure they are not touching either of the 2 UV lamps)

3) Make sure both UV lamps are UVA (300 mg/h ozone producing lamps) If not, switch UV lamps.

4) Use the supplied masking tape and cardboard to seal the top and bottom of unit.

5) Turn on both UVA lamps. DO NOT TURN ON THE FAN!.

Ozone levels will rise quickly inside the unit to oxidize whatever the carbon matt filter has absorbed and turn it into harmless hydrogen.  It is okay to run the UVA lamps without the fan.  It takes 1 hr to completely re-charge the carbon filters to "good as new" condition. (600 milligrams of ozone)

How often do you need to clean the carbon filters?  That depends on your environment. If you are using the IZ-PCO in a smoky bar, you will need to refresh your carbon filter ever week.  If you smoke indoors, you will have to clean it ever 1-4 weeks.  Otherwise, re-fresh the carbon once every 3 months.

Carbon is like a sponge.  Once a sponge is filled with water, it can no longer absorb more water. Once carbon is full of toxins, it can no longer take in more air pollution. Ozone is capable of oxidizing the contaminants that carbon absorbs.  Some carbon manufacturers re-charge carbon in this matter for their customers.  (the inspiration for this idea)

Compare to Lennox Pure-Aire PCO System

The Lennox Pure-Aire induct system utilizes PCO technology to remove smoke, chemicals, voc's etc from the air.  That induct system cost $1500 plus installation costs and features the following parts:

1- MERV9 17" x 26" x 4" filter ($35+ yr to replace)

6 - 17watt UVC lamps  ($180+ yr to replace)

1- PCO TiO2 Metal Mesh Filter  ($180+ every 2 years)

Cost to operate over 4 years:  $140 + $720 + $360 = $1220 every 4 years in replacement filters.

The Lennox Pure-Aire PCO system is a very good system and it will remove second hand smoke, etc from the air.  However, the UVC lamps do not produce ozone and second hand smoke tends to linger in the air where it will damage fabrics, walls, etc.  In order to oxidize second hand smoke and create oxygen you need some ozone on top of the hydroxyl radials and superoxide ions produced by UV plus a TiO2 catalyst.  The IZ-PCO can be fit with either two UVC (no ozone producing lamps) two UVA lamps that will produce 600 mg/h of ozone, or one of each to produce 300 mg/h of ozone.  The actual ozone production will be less as the TiO2 mesh filters will break down a great deal of the ozone in much the same way as the catalyst in Air Oasis units break down the ozone from their UVA lamps to levels that are under EPA standards.  If you run the IZ-PCO with only 1 UVA lamp, the unit will not produce ozone levels above EPA standards even if there is no smoke in the air to oxidize.  Only smokers should choose the two UVA lamps however.

Each unit comes with a total of 2 UV-C and 2 UV-A lamps. Unless specified in the "comment" section, the unit will come installed with one UV-C and one UV-A lamp.
