The Allerair Vocarb line features a special VOC removing carbon blend that does a superior job of removing VOC's over standard carbon HEPA machines. They VOC removal air cleaners represent great value as the carbon canisters are refillable. We also sell a 400 mg/hr ozonator with a silicone tube that can be fed into the air intake of any HEPA machine to rejuvenate the carbon media and improve overall VOC removal capabilities.

HEPA Filters lasts around 5 years in a normal home environment

Vocarb carbon filters last 2-5 years. (With smokers, 2 yrs. Without smokers, heavy chemicals, 5 yrs) You can make the carbon last longer by using a tube feed ozone generator to rejuvenate the carbon daily. (See $79.99 400 mg/hr ozone generator from Ionic Zone)
Vocarb carbon and HEPA Filter can be replaced individually. Carbon filters are refillable.
Pre filters are sold in packages of 4, covering 1 year of functioning.
Pre filters can be vacuumed and reused.
