Chemical Removal Air Purifiers

So you're now following all of the EPA suggestions on how to limit or prevent a chemical fume problem from affecting your indoor air quality and you're looking for an air purifier to take you to the next level of clean air. HEPA technology won't help with chemicals or fumes. They pass right through HEPA filters. What about air cleaners with Carbon? Yes, Carbon can absorb chemicals and fumes that pass through the air cleaner and is one of the many weapons in the arsenal to use against chemicals, but alone will not address serious chemical issues unless you put a machine in every room of your residence and change the filter often. (Would cost $1000's a year). Here are our recommendations for addressing chemical fume issues affecting your indoor air quality:

1) Photocatalytic Oxidation. This new technology in our opinion (and the opinion of many researchers) holds great promise for many reasons. First, the oxidizers that are produces by this PCO process are 1.5 times more powerful than ozone and because they don't linger like ozone don't pose a health threat. The most cost effective way to utilize this technology is via your HVAC system (induct). We sell a 1200 CFM PCO air purifier that is by far the best PCO air purifier value on the market today.

2) Ozone shock treatments. Utilizing a commercial ozone generator in an unoccupied residence with chemical issues is highly effective and recommended. Once the ozone reverts back to oxygen (within 30 minutes) most if not all of the chemicals in the air will cease to exist. If you're in a heavy second hand smoke environment or a nail salon you can also blast ozone into the air as it will quickly find pollutants to oxidize and quickly revert back to oxygen.

3) Heavy Carbon air purifiers. Air purifiers that contain over 26 lbs of carbon are the weapon of choice to deal with VOC issues while in an occupied room.. Our recommendation for best chemical removal air purifier is the Airpura C600. It is made specifically to address chemical issues.

Chemical fumes pose the most serious health threat (behind toxic mold, VOC's, and second hand smoke) to indoor air quality. Our homes are built air tight and the combination of lack of ventilation and increased use of chemical fume producing products has created this situation. Relief however is available with these chemical fume removal air purifier technologies.
