How to Change the Ozone Element in the IZ-3500MG.

The ozone plate inside the IZ-3500MG has a life for up to 10,000 hours. Ozone plate needs to be changed when you feel there is a dramatic drop of ozone outputs. The following illustrate how to replace the ozone element. All you'll need is a phillips screwdriver and five minutes of time:

Step 1

1. Lay the unit on it's side and unscrew all the screws.

2. Remove the stainless steel cover.

Step 3

3. Remove the connector cover.

Step 4

4. Remove the red wires that go to the ozone element.

Step 5

5. Remove the red screws that hold the ozone element in place.

Step 6

6. Remove the ozone element and replace with the new one.

7. Re-connect the red wires, replace the connector cap, then re-insert the screws to finish.
