Mold remediation
contractors use shock treatment ozone generators
to kill surface mold. If you have a mold problem,
we suggest you consult with a professional. They
have the equipment, knowledge, and expertise needed
to handle the situation. If you want to do it yourself, don't touch the mold and simply hit it with a few hours from our $299 commercial ozone generator to make sure the mold is killed before you attempt to handle it. (again, not advisable to handle mold) Mold spores that have traveled around your residence however can be killed with ozone shock treatments.
There are
several air purifiers that do not raise ozone levels
to unsafe breathing levels in occupied rooms yet do a great job of killing
airborne mold. The IZ-PCO Smoke and VOC air purifier features 2 UV lamps, PCO oxidizers, and a special filter to kill mold. With 1200 CFM air moving capabilities, this is the best mold killing air purifier on the market. The Airfree P-1000 and Airfree
Platinum 2000 air purifiers are other examples of no replacement filter mold killing air purifiers. They feature a 400 degree core to incinerate
viruses and bacteria. Great for bedrooms, especially
nurseries. The Air Oasis air
purifier line is also effective at reducing airborne
mold levels. S. All good choices for the mold challenged
home. We also suggest installing a UVC induct air purifier or a PCO induct air purifier system in your HVAC system.
What about HEPA air purifiers? They do not kill mold, they only trap it inside the unit. That's a problem however. Mold can continue to grow inside a dark air purifier. Not the best way to attack a mold problem in our opinion.
